North America

Emeren North America is a greenfield developer of utility-scale and community-scale solar, solar-plus-storage, and standalone energy storage projects across the United States and Canada. Our team manages projects throughout their full lifecycle, spanning development, engineering, and commercial execution. Backed by a multidisciplinary team with deep expertise in site selection, land leasing, permitting, grid interconnection, power offtake agreements, engineering optimization, and transaction structuring, we deliver technically robust and financially sound clean energy solutions. We offer flexible partnership models, including NTP (Notice to Proceed) sales, COD (Commercial Operation Date) sales, and minority equity investments. Guided by a commitment to responsible development and transparent collaboration, we create lasting value for landowners, investors, and local communities.

Europe

Emeren’s core business in Europe focuses on the development of medium-to-large scale ground-mounted photovoltaic (PV) power plants. We are actively advancing integrated solutions, including PV-plus-storage systems, agrivoltaics (the co-location of solar generation and agricultural activities), and floating PV installations. Emeren develops projects to either RTB (Ready-to-Build) or COD (Commercial Operation Date) for strategic sale, while selectively retaining ownership of certain assets to operate as an Independent Power Producer (IPP). This dual-track approach allows us to capture value across the project lifecycle while supporting Europe’s clean energy transition.

Emeren China focuses on the development, construction, and operation of distributed solar power generation and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, primarily serving commercial and industrial clients in eastern and southern China—regions with strong corporate demand for renewable energy. Backed by a team of industry experts, Emeren China delivers full-lifecycle capabilities, from development and financing to engineering, construction, and operations and maintenance. Emeren partners with leading EPC firms, applying standardized, modular, and digitalized EPC practices to ensure project quality and efficiency. Supported by strong relationships with Chinese financial institutions and favorable renewable energy policies, Emeren China is building an integrated smart energy platform and strategically advancing toward a leadership position in the renewable energy industry. Emeren currently operates approximately 170 MW of commercial and industrial solar projects in China.
